ECF membership
If you’re just coming down the the club to play in friendly games, you won’t need to worry about getting an English Chess Federation (ECF) membership. If, however, you are looking to play competitive chess in the North Gloucestershire Chess Association (NGCA) and internal competitions such as the Wotton Hall Club Championship, we would recommend signing up for an ECF Bronze membership, If you are also looking to compete in other tournaments, such as the Cotswold Congress or the Stroud Rapid, we would recommend signing up for an ECF Gold membership.
Please see here for more information on the membership types – https://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-membership-rates-and-joining-details/
