The centre for chess in Gloucestershire
Founded in 2005, Wotton Hall chess club is a friendly, active and welcoming community of chess players. We bring together players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners taking their first steps into chess to title-level players. Whether you’re looking to improve your game, enjoy a casual match or compete in league chess, you’ll find a place at Wotton Hall.
We have multiple teams across all divisions of the North Gloucestershire chess league, as well as a team in the 4NCL. We also host internal tournaments and friendly matches at the club which provide plenty of opportunity to put your skills to the test, meet fellow players and enjoy the game.
Whether you’re completely new to chess, returning to the game or an experienced player looking for your next challenge, we’d love to welcome you. Come along, meet our members and enjoy a game or two in a friendly and supportive environment.
We look forward to welcoming you to Wotton Hall chess club!
